About

The author of this blog is prone to having verbal epiphanies in the midst of all the cacophony surrounding her life.

Okay, back to the first person now. I also apologize for the unfortunate blog url. I, in absolutely no way, claim or think that my opinions are ingenious. This blog was created in the aftermath of having accidentally deleted my previous one. Needless to say, I could not reuse my old url. Of course, the trusty ol’ brain decided to ditch me at such a time. So I went with the first suggestion that someone was kind enough to venture. Now I’m stuck with it.

About the author – Voracious reader, vociferous eater and a vehemently passionate writer.

Moving on to a description of this blog. It started off as penning down of random musings and life incidents. Then in the month of May, I decided to do a regular series on spreading Mental Health Awareness. This undertaking even led me to writing poetry. Ironically, those were the posts best liked by the audience even though I could never rhyme to save my life! So, now, this is more of a forum to spread awareness about issues, big and small, that might help a stranger deal with his life better. Be it through poetry or short stories, the aim is to motivate, inspire and also, sometimes, to intrigue people. I always speak and write from my own learnings so they tend to get personally insightful at times, but there’s always a message behind them, if you’re looking. So, in essence, this is a smorgasbord of a blog with a focus on lifestyle.

The motto: Changing the world, one word at a time.

I am now beginning a new venture titled “All Things Books” wherein I will be reviewing, recommending and listing books (based on genres). Reviews are the best ways to help authors who pour their hearts and souls into providing you an exhilarating experience. This would be my small attempt at paying them back. So, honest reviews is my chosen path!

P.S. – If any of you are dealing with any issues in life, mental or physical and have no one to talk to. Or do not feel comfortable talking to the people you know. Please feel free to drop me a mail at varnikajain92@gmail.com. I’m always listening, I’m always available. I’m here if you want to rant, to cry, to screech or to scream. I’m also here if you need a shoulder to cry on. I’ll even be here when you’re ready to listen to a little advise or soul-sharing which I will do to the best of my ability. Spread the cheer! Be safe, be happy and take care.

  2. ” I decided to do a regular series on spreading Mental Health Awareness…” Thank you so much! More people need to be intelligently aware of the various mental illnesses and that, shocking as it may be, oftentimes the most seemingly unlikely of us actually suffer from one or more mental illnesses. Blessings to you!

  3. Hello, Varnika! Thank you so much for the follow. I really appreciate this. Your blog looks very promising. Of course we write about our own experiences, if not about issues that happened directly to us, about things, people and situations that touched us deeply, where we felt most empathic. A very important thing to bear in mind: Poetry does not necessarily have to rhyme! I think this is the cause why so many people (I believe the potential of crafting poems is in every one of us) refrain from writing poetry. Will look at your poems now and give you some feedback.

  4. Kudos to you for having such a heart for people with mental health issues–which is pretty much everybody 🙂 The more we can be open about our struggles, the more people will overcome them–and the fewer those who will be overwhelmed by them and possibly lose their lives. It’s important–everyone matters. God bless you.

      1. Your blog looked like a pond which turned into a lake and then into a river which snaked around beautiful poetry and prose to finally descend into an ocean of bliss. I just went on with the flow, reading post after post, too excited to stop and appreciate – elated. So, thank you.
