They talk of beauty in absolute terms
Then subjugate it
To paltry subjectiveness
Till it reaches insulting objectification
I wonder
What become of appreciation
Isn’t gratitude
Its own gratification
Isn’t there a little beauty
In every creation?
Let’s, for once,
Behold it again and
Make that humankind’s salvation?
A very beautiful thought. Beauty has always been objectified in our culture and needs a broader definition or no definition at all.

Thank you, Megha. It’s very true that we, as a society, need a complete overhauling of a lot of deeply ingrained concepts and prejudices. Without this, the future doesn’t look quite bright.

Prejudices and social stigma are like cancer in society and difficult to get rid of. It almost a good as a wishful thinking. The easier thing is to change our reaction to it.
